Deadline: Now Closed
International applicants, especially those requiring travel visas, are encouraged to apply as early as possible.
HIV & Respi-DART 2024 is dedicated to providing scholarships to under-represented individuals, including women, and delegates from developing countries. Scholarships are also provided to young investigators, graduate students, and post-doctoral fellows as funding permits. To be eligible for the Young Investigator's fee waiver, one should be 35 years of age or younger and either be a current Master/PhD student or have obtained a MD/PhD degree in the last five years.
Required information and documents. Applicants are invited to apply for scholarships through the conference website. Applicants are required to provide basic information that includes country of residence, profession and field of scientific interest by submitting the application form available on our website. They are also asked to submit their CV, along with a letter of intent and letter of recommendation (optional). The letter of intent should briefly (400 words) summarize how the applicant will benefit from the conference and how the applicant plans to apply the benefits of the meeting in practical ways after the conference. Abstract submission is encouraged for all applicants.
Evaluation process. The Organizing Committee will perform the evaluation of scholarship applications with help from the Scientific Committee for abstract reviewing where applicable. All applications will be considered until the exhaustion of available funds. Priority will be given to applications from under-developed countries, young investigators, minority applicants, and women. Applicants with submitted abstracts, and those whose professional activities are in line with the conference learning objectives will receive favorable consideration. Successful applicants will be given scholarships that may include conference registration fee, accommodations, and economy class travel (up to $1,000 USD). Scholarship recipients will be publicly acknowledged at the meeting, and through conference materials, and will receive an official certificate for their records.
